About the procedure
Moles (or nevi) are new growths on the skin of various shapes and sizes that can be congenital or appear throughout a person's life. Almost every person has such neoplasms in different quantities and on different parts of the body. In most cases, birthmarks are considered benign formations and do not pose a danger to human health and life.

However, permanent trauma to the mole leads to the fact that this neoplasm can grow into melanoma - a malignant tumor. In addition, moles located on the face and other open areas of the skin are perceived as a cosmetic defect, causing discomfort to the patient.

Procedure
How is the laser mole removal procedure performed?
Laser removal of a birthmark at Myroslava Novosilska Aesthetic Medicine Clinic is carried out using a modern Harmony XL Pro device with an iPixel module. The duration of the procedure varies from 10 minutes to 1 hour - it all depends on the number of moles, as well as their size.
Before starting the laser mole removal procedure, you need a consultation with a dermatologist, as well as undergo a dermatoscopy. Dermatoscopy is a modern digital method of skin examination. As a result, all neoplasms will be enlarged 10 or 20 times. After the doctor is convinced that there are no contraindications to the removal, the procedure starts.
Before starting the laser removal of a mole, the doctor disinfects the area of the skin on which the removal will be performed. If necessary, a local anesthetic is used.
Laser mole removal is performed using the iPixel module: a high-power light beam burns out the neoplasm without affecting the healthy layers of the epidermis.
After removal, a hole is formed in this area, which heals within two weeks. which after some time falls away on its own. As a result, such a procedure can be performed even on delicate areas of the body and skin (for example, on the face).
